Welcome to CESHS. We are an association of horse shows held on Delmarva. Our shows offer a variety of classes
- hunter, pleasure, western, breed, and equitation. Browse our site to learn more about us, then join us at
the shows.
Our Mission
The Sportsman's Charter That sport is something done for the fun of doing it and that
it ceases to be sport when it becomes a business only, something done for what there is in it; That amateurism is something
of the heart and spirit - not a matter of exact technical qualifications; That good manners of sport are fundamentally
important; That the code must be strictly upheld; That the whole structure of sport is not only preserved from the
absurdity of undue importance, but is justified by a kind of romance which animates it, and by the positive virtues of courage,
patience, good temper, and unselfishness which are demanded by the code; That the exploitation of sport for profit alone
kills the spirit and retains only the husk and semblence of the thing; That the qualities of frankness, courage, and sincerity
which mark the good sportsman in private life shall mark the discussions of his interest at a competition.

From YOUR Association:
We made a couple of rule changes at our recent board meeting, including the addition of a new CESHS Pre-Children's/Pre-Adult
Division. The full text of the new division, and the entire 2008 Rule Book, are posted under RULE BOOK.
We also approved a new show for 2008 - at Breezy Run Farm on September 6, 2008. Please note this show will not
be MHSA.

Now is the time to take care of your paperwork for 2008 - register your horse
or pony, register the riders for equitation. Note that our first three shows of 2008 are MHSA rated - your ponies will
need an MHSA measurement card - even if you are not showing MHSA classes. The good part of that, the MHSA card will
be good at the CESHS only shows as well.
Check out the
many features of our website by browsing the different pages - News You Can Use, CESHS - The Magazine, Show Programs,
Equine Events, and others. If you have an idea for the site - an article, a question, a suggestion - submit it to ceshs@msn.com.
CESHS is billed
as "the friendliest place to show a horse." We hope each of us can embody that, and ask a friend to join us in our fun,
and see you at the shows.
