A. CESHS PRE-CHILDREN’S/PRE-ADULT HORSE
1.
Classes are restricted to horses exceeding 14.2 hands.
2.
Horses must be ridden by a Junior or by an adult exhibitor eligible to hold an USEF Amateur card.
3.
The rider may not compete in any class at the same show in which fences exceed 2’6”, or in
any Delmarva class over fences. The rider may, however, compete in Equitation
and Medal Classes if otherwise eligible.
4.
A division must have a minimum of three classes, one of which must be Under Saddle.
5.
Courses must contain at least two oxers.
6.
Horses must compete in a course over fences to maintain Under Saddle ribbons.
7.
Fences not to exceed 2’6”.

Class Specifications:
a. Pre-Children’s/Pre-Adult Horse Under Saddle. To be shown
at a walk, trot, and canter both ways of the ring. Horses may be asked to hand
gallop collectively one way of the ring, at the judge’s discretion, but never more than eight at one time. Light contact with the horse’s mouth is required. To
be judged on performance, soundness, manners, and suitability as a child’s or amateur’s horse.
b. Pre-Children’s/Pre-Adult
Horse Over Fences. To be shown over a minimum of eight fences. To be judged on manners, performance, and suitability as a child’s or amateur’s horse.
